Initial Instructions
After unpacking, allow the plant a few days to gradually acclimate to full exposure. If you are keeping your jasmine plant in a container, re-pot it into a 6-8 inch diameter pot. The plant will require re-potting to a larger container as it grows. Up-pot when the plant appears root bound or when large roots push out the drainage holes. If planting in the ground, select a location with well-drained soil, spacing the plants 3-5 feet apart. Provide a support structure for the vines to climb; a trellis, fence, or arbor will suffice.

Cultivation
Water regularly during the first growing season, but do not allow the soil to become soggy. Fertilize early in the season with a well-balanced fertilizer, and during the growing season with a higher phosphorus fertilizer to increase flowering. Prune as needed to maintain shape and train to your support structure. For plants in the ground, mulch well in autumn to protect the roots; the vines may die back to the ground over the winter. Otherwise, bring the container into a protected location during cold months.

Our jasmine are disease-resistant. Aphids and spider mites can cause plants damage; if present, control with Neem oil or Pyrethrin.
