Improved Meyer Lemon

Improved Meyer Lemon

XF155

Citrus limon 'Improved Meyer' Absolutely the hardiest of all dwarf lemon trees, Improved Meyer will withstand temperatures as low as 18°F for very short periods. It is also quite prolific producing medium sized, 3 inch, brilliant yellow fruit that turn yellowish-orange as they mature. Much sweeter than grocery store lemons (Improved Meyer is technically not a true lemon, but actually a cross between a lemon and a mandarin orange). Plants can reach 8 feet tall at maturity, but container size and pruning practices can keep them smaller.

Citrus plants are shipped from early April through June. Since they arrive with their bare roots packed in a damp sawdust mixture, please be prepared to plant with potting soil and a 3-5 gallon container. Complete instructions are included with each order.

"Our citrus trees are 2-3 years old, well developed and branched with large, healthy root systems. Their trunk diameter ranges 1/2-3/4 inches, above-ground height is over 2 feet, and foliage canopy more than 1 foot in diameter. At this stage of development, they are mature enough to produce fruit. We have selected these special varieties for their vigor, beauty, productivity, and practical utility. Grow in full sun outdoors during warm months. In areas with cold winters, bring indoors and locate in a south facing, sunny window during frosty months. All of our citrus are well suited for cultivation indoors as houseplants. They arrive with their roots packed in a damp sawdust mixture, ready to plant into a 3-5 gallon container. Complete growing instructions are included with each order.
