Lonicera caerulea var. edulis This member of the honeysuckle family is adaptable to almost all regions of the US. Honeyberry is grown for its tasty blueberry-like fruit that mature extremely early (often 2 weeks before strawberries). It is also cold hardy to -40°F, very easy to grow, and has very few pest and disease problems. Plants prefer partial shade.

Initial Instructions
After unpacking, allow the plant a few days to gradually acclimate to its full exposure. Plant your Honeyberry in an area with well-drained, not soggy soil in partial shade.

Cultivation
Keep the soil moist for the first year to establish the plant. Honeyberry grows as a small, arching shrub. Pruning is not required for fruit production, but you may want to shape the plants or remove weak branches.
