Citrus
Washington Navel Orange
Citrus sinensis The seedless, easy to peel, sweet, and luscious fruit typically ripen late fall and winter. This variety has a fascinating history traceable back to Brazil in the 1800s. It was imported to Washington D.C., and earned its name from there. For over 200 years, it has gained popularity worldwide, and rightfully so. It's nearly impossible to beat the taste of just-squeezed orange juice right from your own tree. Amazing!
Citrus plants are shipped from early April through June. Since they arrive with their bare roots packed in a damp sawdust mixture, please be prepared to plant with potting soil and a 3-5 gallon container. Complete instructions are included with each order.
