11/17/08 Take care of your decorative containers that held summer ornamentals. If you live in a cold zone, protect ceramic and clay pots from winter's fury. Freezing and thawing water can crack the containers, cause chips and ruin glazed finishes. It's best to empty the pots and store them in a dry location. The old soil makes great compost.
