Once this elusive gourmet delicacy was only available foraged from the wild; now you can grow morels in your own backyard! Our kit contains live morel spawn and comprehensive instructions to create a morel patch that can be regenerated to produce for years. An ideal spot for the mushroom patch is an abandoned bonfire site. If that is not available you can create a morel bed in a 4-foot square space with a few easily accessible items. For greatest success, inoculate (plant) the mushroom spawn close to the time of your last frost date. Have patience because morels may not produce for 9 months to 3 years, but anyone who has indulged in them will agree that they're unequalled flavor is well worth the wait.
