Blueberries
Rubel Blueberry
Vaccinium corymbosum Famous for eating fresh, canning, and freezing, or as a beautiful landscape shrub. Blueberries provide flowers in the spring, colorful berries, good foliage, and striking autumn color.
Mid to late-season. Rubel, an old-fashioned original that cannot be transcended, was one of the first commercially named blueberry varieties. It is a true wild selection with deep blue, exquisitely sweet fruit. Where newer cultivars have traded their nutritive qualities for larger size, lighter color, and thinner skins, Rubel has retained its rich antioxidant content (twice that of other varieties) and unequalled, sweet, intense flavor. The vigorous, upright bushes grow 4-7 feet tall and consistently produce high yields of smaller to medium berries. For zones 4-7.
Blueberries are shipped in mid-April. They are in 3 1/2 inch pots and are 1 year old. Complete growing instructions are included with each order.
