IRT-76 Green Mulch

IRT-76 Green Mulch

ZRC793P

For earlier and heavier melon and cucumber yields.
Developed at the University of New Hampshire to significantly increase earlier and heavier yields of watermelons, cantaloupe, and cucumbers. And wow, does it work! It warms the soil like clear mulch and suppresses weed growth like black mulch. Our research farm recorded increased early yields of warm weather crops when compared to crops grown on standard black mulch. Overall yields were up 20-40%. Also works for peppers, squash, and pumpkins. Designed for commercial growers, but we think it's great for home gardeners, too.

We live in zone 6 but have warm to hot days but chilly nights, rarely going above the 60s even in mid-summer. We planted eggplant, peppers, cucumbers and watermelon through green mulch and have huge harvests. Definitely worth the investment for climates in which the soil doesn't warm up enough in the spring and summer..
It Kept the Weeds Down

well it did keep the weeds down which was the main reason for getting it, but I saw no difference at all in the plant yield.
