This heirloom from Minnesota remains one of the most popular red raspberries, and for good reason. Latham bears gorgeous, round, deep red berries that are bursting with luscious, full flavor, and fragrant sweetness. Exceptionally vigorous, cold hardy plants produce abundant harvests of the large (up to 1 inch round) raspberries. A truly all-purpose fruit, Latham is fabulous for freezing, canning, jam, and fresh eating. Ripens in late June and early July. Hardy in zones 3-8.
Raspberries are shipped bare root from mid-March through early May. Order by April 15th for best availability. Complete growing instructions are included with each order.

"Rubus idaeus: The versatile fruit of the raspberry is a real taste treat whether eaten with your morning cereal, on top of your favorite cheesecake, or maybe best of all, by itself with just a bit of added sugar or stevia. There are two main types of raspberries, everbearing and summer bearing. Heritage and Anne are two of the best tasting everbearing varieties while Royalty is a delectable summer bearing type.
CULTURE: Raspberries grow best with plenty of moisture, but in well drained soil. Take special care in preparing the bed prior to planting by adding lots of organic matter. They do not tolerate poor quality soil or weeds, and prefer slightly alkaline soil. Space plants 3-5 feet apart and rows 3-5 feet apart. Complete growing instructions are included with each order.
PESTS & DISEASES: Generally free of pests and diseases. If birds are eating too many berries, we recommend using BirdBlock Protective Netting.
