An innovation in food preservation: two handy canning methods with one piece of equipment. Now you can water bath or steam can with this Dual Use Canner. Constructed of durable, attractive stainless steel, the canner comes complete with a safe canning gauge on the lid for processing at the proper temperature (with 3 zones for altitudes from sea level to 9,000 feet). One convertible rack works for both steam and water bath processes. As a steam canner it holds 9 pint, 8 quart, or 5 half gallon jars. For water bath canning its capacity is 8 pint or 7 quart jars. Canner measures 13 inches inside diameter, 13 1/2 inches tall overall with a 24 quart volume. (Sorry, not for use on smooth top or ceramic ranges.)
