01/02/09 The changing of the calendar means a new year and the opportunity for an even more abundant and beautiful garden than ever before. Make some attainable resolutions so you won't get discouraged. Here are some suggestions: Spend at least one hour per week weeding. Your overall wedding time will be cut down if you divide up the chore into frequent, small intervals. Schedule progressive plantings for prolonged, continuous harvests. Sticking by a seeding plan will maximize your garden's productivity. Getting into a routine of picking fresh veggies on a regular basis also encourages you to eat the freshest food--the most local you can get!
