Dragon Arum (Dracunculus)
No doubt, this will be the talk of the garden. Straight out of a science fiction movie, everything about this plant is exotic. Tall stems give way to large, fan-like leaves. In late spring, Dragon Arum produces a shiny, port-colored spadex that is surrounded by an intensely maroon-colored spathe, all together reaching 18 inches tall. Don't plant too close to a patio or walkway as there is an unpleasant fragrance during the first few days in bloom. May take 2 years to bloom, but well worth the wait. Plant height: 3 feet.
Sorry, not available to Canada.
Flower bulbs are shipped only in the fall-late September or early October, depending on the season. Dragon Arum Bulb Growing Information
