This gourmet mushroom produces baseball-sized or larger clusters of icicle-like spines. Imparts a lobster-like flavor when cooked with butter and onions. Not only does it taste great, but legend has it that consuming Lion's Mane will give you 'steel nerves and the memory of a lion'. A 65-75°F environment is needed. Complete with instructions, the kit comes ready to use.

Also called Hen of the Woods, these mushrooms are meaty and scrumptious, growing in overlapping, ruffled, fleshy layers. Maitake are also widely recognized and valued medicinally for apparent immune boosting properties. This kit requires a 55-70°F environment and a little patience, as the first flush usually occurs in 1-2 weeks, but may take up to 2 full months to complete. After the first harvest, move the patch to an outdoor bed for subsequent fruiting, which can occur in 6-12 months.

An especially delicious and carefree culinary treat, Shaggy Manes are conical, white shingled caps that will grow in a lawn, garden bed, or compost pile. Prevalent throughout the northern hemisphere, our strain is carefully selected from wild specimens from the San Juan Islands in Washington State. Simply mix the mushroom spawn provided into a soil bed or compost pile, follow the watering instructions, and wait. Fruiting primarily occurs in the fall. It may take up to 2 years to fruit.

Beautiful, streaked, bright orange, shelf clusters have ruffled, pale yellow edges and a fleshy body that's tender and delicious. Chicken of the Woods grows on a variety of softwoods. Under the right conditions, fruiting will occur in 6-12 months and continue for several years. -
