TM88880 days. This Virginia family heirloom bears very large heart-shaped fruit that weigh nearly a pound. These bright and attractive orange-yellow tomatoes, when sliced, have a rich aroma that will remind you of carefree summers past. The meaty fruit have few seeds. Wonderful for sauces and cooking. Large indeterminate plants.

TM88985 days. This winner of Territorial Seed Company's 2002 Great Northwest Tomato Taste-Off has the flavor to which all other tomatoes are compared. An indeterminate, potato-leaf variety with a sweet, rich, slightly spicy flavor. The somewhat squat, lobed fruit are large, up to 7 inches. Not a heavy-yielding tomato, Brandywine is best staked or caged. A long-season tomato, but this is one of the earliest strains we've trialed at London Springs.

TM89085 days. A Russian heirloom that is one of the sweetest tomatoes we have evaluated in its size class. The very dark red fruit are 2-3 inches, thin-skinned, and quite soft. Indeterminate and very vigorous. Seed from a seed saver in the former Soviet Union.

TM89180 days. This heirloom tomato that dates back to the mid-1800s is right at home in short-season gardens. One of the best-tasting yellow tomatoes in our taste tests. Healthy, indeterminate vines bear big beefsteak-size fruit with few blemishes for an heirloom.

TM90495 days. As the story goes, a tomato farmer facing bankruptcy selected a tomato that produced so well, he was able to sell one crop of fruit and pay off the mortgage. We're not sure that would be the case today, but Mortgage Lifter certainly produces an abundance of 1-2 pound fruit. Not the prettiest in the world, but meaty and full of heirloom flavor. Indeterminate.

TM90568 days. This tomato has quite a history. It was introduced in the early '50s by Gleckler seedsmen as one of their most disease resistant varieties. The bright red, 3 1/2 inch globe shaped fruit is firm with a wonderful flavor. Strong, indeterminate vines produce reliably in most climates. Naturally disease resistant. Our stock seed is directly from George Gleckler Jr.

TM90672 days. Our search for a delicious and productive tiger striped tomato led to this Russian variety. Tiger-Like's vigorous 22 inch indeterminate vines bear loads of colorful fruit with a sweet, very complex flavor. The 2 inch fruit has orange-red skin with yellow-green stripes. The tastiest of the striped varieties.

TM90775 days. Developed by Luther Burbank around 1915. Determinate and fairly early, Burbank Slicing is a heavy yielder of majestic 3-4 inch fruit. The fruit has a very deep red color and a traditional bold tomato flavor. This was the only variety that Mr. Burbank raised for canning.

TM90885 days. You may never find a more oddly shaped tomato, but what a great taste! The flavor is the most complex we have ever tasted, a bit on the sweet side and very juicy. A California market grower says it makes the all-time best tomato juice. This Italian heirloom has large, deep red fruit with orange shoulders that are squat and so ribbed they're nearly pleated. This compact indeterminate plant is high yielding, too.
