    75 days. A truly impressive, high yielding Nantes type carrot! Baltimore sports a nice, sweet flavor with a crispy, crunchy texture. Rich orange, blunt-ended roots are ideal at 1 inch across and 6 inches long. With a clean, carroty sweetness and gratifying snap, they are superb for fresh eating, grating on salads, juicing and cooking.

  • Bolero Carrots

    75 days. The uniform, 7 inch long, slightly tapered root is sweet and crunchy, prime qualities for snacking. A bright orange Nantes variety, Bolero grows to 1 1/2 inches across and is adorned with a 10 inch tall, dark green top. It's one of the heaviest yielding carrots at our trial grounds. Holds well in the field and maintains its sweet flavor even after long term storage. One of the first to display a high level of resistance to alternaria blights and powdery mildew.

    56 days. If you appreciate fresh carrots, you must try this one! Crisp, yet very easy to munch. So brittle and delicate, in fact, that it has to be hand dug, as it cannot withstand mechanical harvesting. Enjoy Mokum as a baby carrot or as a full-size 6-8 inch taste treat. Very rich in vitamin A and high in sugars. Striking deep orange roots with contrasting thick dark green tops. It's still the finest fresh-eating carrot we know. Dutch seed.

Merida is a moderately vigorous Nantes type that possesses extraordinarily good resistance to bolting, and produces sweet, rich orange carrots 7-8 inches long and 1-1 1/2 inches in diameter.     58 days. In trials across the US, Nelson stands out as being a high producing, high quality, true Nantes-type carrot. Performing well even in heavier soils, it has very smooth 6-7 inch long roots, 1-1 1/2 inch shoulders, a deep orange color, and excellent uniformity. An early variety, it is a great choice as your main crop carrot or for bunching for market. The 12 inch tall, dark green tops make a delicate garnish.
